Hockey Club La Côte
The Hockey Club la Côte (HCLC) is located in Rolle and welcomes kids aged between 6 and 12 who want to have fun and move, acquire or improve physical skills and play in a team. Field hockey is a fast and dynamic, but also a very social and an inclusive sport. It is practised by boys and girls alike, by people of all ages and of all abilities. It is also an Olympic sport and played at the highest level.
Founded in 2012, the club is run by volunteers, mostly parents. The membership is very international and composed of players aged between 6 and 12. Professional coaches provide high quality training every Wednesday afternoon throughout the year, but they also help the kids develop social skills which are essential for team sports. These include respect, fair play, team spirit, taking responsibility, being a good loser as well as a good winner.
HCLC is a member of the Swiss Hockey Federation and the 'Suisse Romande' Hockey Forum and its teams participate in the Hockey Kids Tour. For the age groups U8, U10 and U12, there is approximately one tournament per month.
