Camp Thabo Sefolosha

Established in July 2007, Camp Thabo Sefolosha in Blonay has since been available every summer.

Thabo Sefolosha, born on 2 May 1984 in Switzerland, realised that he was meant to play basketball at the age of 11, so he got involved in the Blonay Juniors team. His passion for basketball led him to progress towards the Vaudois Selection of Basketball then, in 2001, he joined Vevey Riviera Basketball team. This opportunity opened the door to the Swiss National Junior Team at just 17 years old and marks the debut of his basketball career at a national level. Between 2002 and 2005, he was part of French teams, labelled one of the best players of the French championship. In 2006, after spending a season in Italy, his career in the American league of basketball began as he was selected in the NBA Drafts for the Chicago Bulls. At the age of 22, Thabo became the first Swiss player in history to join the prestigious NBA.

This camp is the opportunity to take the first approach to basketball or to improve your technique through a program designed to challenge you while having fun. It is also a chance to share and interact with Thabo Sefolosha and other renowned basketball players, who will be present in order to demonstrate the subtleties of the game in a safe environment. The camp offers a sports program designed and instructed by professionals. Overall, Thabo's intention for the participants, whether beginner or otherwise, is progress (while having fun!).

The camp and the coaches were brilliant and it shows that they have a true understanding of how to bring out the best in the kids that attend. It was a pleasure to observe and well done to the CTS team.
